I have Kicad 8.0. Trying to simulate LM2576 model from here (Texas Instruments). All I ever obtain is an output of a couple of nV. The schematics is exactly like this post.
Using a 1N5822 (can’t link the model because the forum did not let me). I honestly do not know what am I missing, everything is connected and models are applied.
Without your project, zipped and uploaded here, further response is quasi not possible.

The link to the post you have shown demonstrates that the simulation of ths converter (with another simulator) has its quirks and may need checking of some details and some experimenting.
