Update detection is working now, but both View Details and Open Downloads Page only open a blank browser window. Skip this version resets at launch, does exactly the same as remind me later. I would expect that Skip this version will ignore the server side flag until the version increments.
Issue has been tested on 1x Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
My Home PC might have exhibited the same issue. But the update had dropped by the time upgraded to 8 from 7.
Since the issue is repeatable just by launching KiCAD. I have tested both Edge and FireFox as default browser. In both cases a “new window” not a tab is generated and it is blank. The instruction to open a link is never carried over.
