New user on the forum, and I had an issue with certain symbols which made it impossible to add spice models to them for simulation. I just figured out the solution my problem and thought I would make a post to help others with the same issue.
Issue: When selecting pins in model to map to the correct pins on the symbol, after selecting the model pin, the model pin would revert back to “Not Connected”.
Solution: The model needs to map to a pin number, in my case, the symbol’s pins did not have pin numbers defined. After adding pin numbers to symbol, the model pins would map correctly.
Attached are two screenshots, one with the Symbol Model Editor open with the Pin Assignments selected after fixing the Symbol to have Pin Numbers defined (second picture).
