Stable version 9.0.0-rc2 available

The KiCad project is excited to announce the second release candidate for the next major version 9.0.0 is available for testing. Version 9.0.0 is expected to be released by the end of January 2025.

Looks like all the Ubuntu ppa builds have failed for amd64 (Except for Ubuntu 23.10)

PPA builds are back up and available. There was an issue with mirroring the repo from GitLab to Launchpad (still there) but for now we are working around it until the one overworked simian that Canonical found on Fiver to run launchpad gets around to looking into the issue

update if it’s not difficult ngspise and opencascade library. from and their version creates a conflict with other applications
