for some reason printing in Linux (schematic) does not work for me. I tried plenty of tricks but I just get an empty page. My workaround now is to plot to svg, import in inkscape and then print, but it is quite annoying.
Does anyone know if it is really broken or if there is a way to get it to work?
Yes. It’s broken.
On SCH, I use the PLOT menu which has the PDF option. That works.
On PCBNew, I use the PLOT > SVG option, and then use LibreOffice DRAW to import the SVG’s and export them as a multipage PDF.
PLOT > SVG on PCBnew still has some quirks when handling curves and arcs (they end up getting mirrored). So, if I have a PCB with rounded corners, I replace the arcs with line segments as a work around.
Actually in schema, plot to .pdf doesn’t work correctly for me, it looses some parts and some connections. Plot to .svg seems to be the only way that works fine. (Except for curved parts)
Is the HP Designjet T520 printer driver compatible with the Linux operating system? Because my personal computer is preinstalled of Linux OS. If compatible then it’s ok to me otherwise I should have to install another OS that is compatible with this driver.
Ah you really want to start a new thread instead of piggybacking on an ancient one which appears to be a generic question. If nothing else people will be more likely to give relevant info. I think the forum mod might split this off soon.
