My topic is similar to this https://forum.kicad.info/t/nested-hierarchical-schematics-broken/13488, bit the exact question I would like to ask was not addressed, so here we go.
I have a similar hierarchical structure than the original post.
two schematics, a.sch and b.sch, nested in the same way as the original post. The high level schematics contains A1(a.sch) subsheet and A2(a.sch) subsheet, both of which contains a B(b.sch) subsheet. I cannot name the “B” subsheets B1 and B2 as one subsheet will inherit the indexing I tried to give to the other one.
The problem with this, is when I print the schematics in PDF, there is no telling which b.sch annotation belongs to which “B” subsheet. So based on a PDF I am left guessing what annotation belongs to A1-B and what annotation belongs to A2-B.
Is there a way to include the parent schematics name in a text field on the subsheets somehow?
