Need Help with KiCad Circuit Simulation Assignment

Hi everyone,

I’m new to KiCad and circuit design, so please bear with me. I have an assignment where I need to submit a schematic that includes a working simulation. I can’t use common circuits like full-wave or half-wave rectifiers because they’ve already been done.

I’m a Computer Science student, but I have an electrical course in my first semester as part of a multidisciplinary system. I’m finding it hard to come up with a unique circuit that I can simulate successfully.

If anyone can suggest a simple but unique circuit idea with simulation, or even better, share the schematic files directly, it would be an absolute blessing for me! I’m really struggling and would appreciate any help.

Thanks a ton in advance for helping a beginner out!

We are here to help people with how KiCad works. We are not here to do homework assignments for students. In these modern times, learning things by head has gone out of fashion, many things can be found simply by typing some words into the magic box.

Electronics started with frogs on fences, then progressed through light bulbs and polished pieces of sand, and they’ve been doing that for many years now. You will need a lot of inspiration to find an “unique” circuit. I’d say your teacher would be an idiot if he really expects you to design something unique.

Now I’m wondering what you want. Do you want to make your teacher happy, or do you want to learn KiCad?
