I am unsuccessfully trying to do a very simple simulation of a IRLZ44N mosfet working as switch. In the schematic I did not use a base resistor, just to make sure there is the proper tension. Any idea why it does not switch on?
It looks like the pin ordering is faulty. Pin numbers in KiCad’s schematic are made to be compatible with the real packages, but quite often spice models use their own pin numbering scheme. You can fix this in Symbol Properties / Simulation Model / Pin Assignment
Thank you for the suggestion, but it was no that. Before posting I even checked to have the source, drain and gate properly assigned, and it was correct. I suspect a problem with the mosfet type model. This is the model 1, but unfortunately, I do not have all the parameters for a more evolved model. I attach pin assignment pattern.
