Latest version keeps prompting on startup (re-opened)

This issue - Latest version keeps prompting on startup was automatically closed, but is still a problem. Started happenening on a Clean Windows 11 install, with KiCad 7.0. It asks this every time it opens:

“Would you like to automatically check for plugin updates on startup?”.

Are you using Kicad 7.0.8 which was released a week ago? It should be fixed.
