How to print PCB layout and net names

Hey all. I’m a new forum member. But have been using KiCad for a few years now.

I’m working on a PCB now where I’d like to print out my PCB layout on paper to be able to do some trouble-shooting, checking traces… that kind of thing. It would be incredibly helpful if I could print out the PCB layout including the net names, which are visible in PCBnew.

Is there any way of doing this?

One thing I’ve tried is simply taking a screen-shot of the PCBniew window. But the black background uses an unecessary amount of printer ink. I can’t find any way of changing the PCBnew background to white…

there must be a better way?

I think it is not possible to print the net names, at least I have not found a way to do it.

In nightly versions is possible to set the background to any available colour (under the render tab). In my version the background colour can be changed from any canvas but the changes are only seen in opengl and cairo canvases.
