Hello Gurus, I have a SBC (Single Board Computer - Similar to RPi/BBB) in my design that sits on two standard sockets. I need to keep this as a single component. What options do I have to link this (U8) to two 2x12 sockets? Right now in BOM, it shows as one component. Any ideas? [image] Cheers! Edit: Sockets are 2x12.

Best way to assign two designators to a single component/symbol/footprint?

I am designing a PCB for a raspberry pi CM4. I am using a symbol+footprint that does this as a single unit. For manufacturing I need to assign two of the same connectors to a single footprint, essentially turning them into two footprints. I previously manually removed the cm4 footprint and manually added the 2x hirose connector footprints with before exporting the gerbers and place files which seemed to work, however this also looses all net information and theoretically completely messes up DR…

Multiple footprint assignment

Hi, Recently while designing in one of my projects, I want to do these 2 things that I don’t know how to do it or whether kicad support such things. I made a custom footprint of Radxa CM3 module (Just like Raspberry Pi). The module’s footprint has 3x DF40C-100DS-0.4V(51) connectors. So, I wanted to import 3 connector footprints in my Radxa CM3 footprint library. As I couldn’t, I copied and pasted footprint pads and other layers from connector footprint to module’s footprint.
