Sorry for my english i’m french. I try to find the I hold of a thyristor with a generator giving 20mA current through the A_K pins during 500us (first step) then go down progressively after the activation of the thyristor (with a current pulse on G pin during the first step.)
I wanted to see a break of current flow (through a resistor 0 ohm in front of my K pin thyristor) when the current generator is under the I hold but it forced the current through the thyrisor so the voltage grew up.
So I wanted to protect it with a zenner but when I put the code on a lib file and try to star simulation it doesn’t work.
Someone have a solution for the I hold or the zener please? Thank you a lot.
ngSpice is a capable simulator, but it’s not very polished, and for various reasons spice libraries are not included with KiCad. But you can find quite a lot of spice models and whole libraries on various places on the 'net.
To start, begin with the simplest simulation possible, just to verify whether your thyristor model works. Once that works, you can extend your schematic and build out the simulaton.
Another good way to start is with one of the examples in:
