Can't draw track from through hole pad, but can draw track to through hole pad

I’m a total newbie looking for help. For whatever reason i cannot draw tracks from any of the through hole pads shown. I can only draw tracks from connected components TO the through hole pads. Any ideas?

See video for a clearer sense of what’s going on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr3Db-ADpLY

It would be helpful to know what footprints you selected for the “pads” and how they were connected in the schematic.

Also, what do your design rules look like?

Also Also, why are you working from an “autosave” of the project?

It looks like a problem with the holes inside the pads. How are these pads defined? Are they a single THT pad or are there other features in these pads?

Also, it looks like a simple project. The easiest way for us to diagnose is if you zip up the project and post it here.

See here:

what you have to do to be able to attach your project to your post.

@ddowns46 Take a look at your Interactive Router Settings

1 will somewhat mimic your problem

Unless something else is awry…

ADDED: a video (ignore last 5 seconds of video…)

FYI, OP also posted their question on Reddit; someone noticed cut lines around the holes. Looks like it is from importing a DXF (to the edge.cuts layer.)

FYI - the Pads I used in my video above also have Edge-Cuts around the Holes - I did it as part of the test (but, didn’t make comment on it)… Difficult to see clearly but there’s enough Red color around the hole to recognize it…

Pad Cu visibility disabled

hey yall, thanks for the help. As others mentioned, the issue was that the dxf file i brought in as edge cuts had holes that were eventually replaced by through hole pads. Once i deleted them, i was able to route the board.
