I don’t know if kicad is compatible with WSL then I don’t know if I should install the kicad linux vertion or the kicad windows vertion
Choose native over virtual, sandboxed, or emulated implementations.
WSL doesn’t support graphics at all, only text-based programs.
It works fine, even with graphics, if configured properly.
Ah, it has gone forward.
Still I would use the native one except if there’s some strong specific reason to do otherwise.
It would be mind blowingly bizzare to use WSL for something that works natively on Windows and probably works better because you can run parallel versions of KiCad in one click on Windows but it’s a hassle on Linux.
