I plotted my circuit as a PDF, after printing it ,I found it doesn’t have the actual size some how smaller. direct printing from the top menu produces accurate size.
how could I resize it in the PDF format to the actual scale. any ideas?
‘pdftk’ can do rescaling of PDF files. Some printer divers support rescaling the printout as well.
That does not look like a kicad problem, make sure that you print the pdf with not printer rescaling.
That sounds like a common problem related to printer-drivers, and/or printers. Some of them seem to insist on adding an additional margin around the printed material I seem to recall one where the check-box called “Print Full Size” scaled differently from “Print Scale: 100%”.
When accurate scaling is important I end up experimenting with settings until it comes out correct - then write down the settings and promptly forget where I put them. The printer I use at work seems to get it right if I simply submit the PRINT job and accept defaults; the one I use at home has to be set to a custom scale factor. (102%, as I recall.)
Being able to print a 1:1 image on paper is definitely useful, especially for checking mechanical things like mounting hole locations, positions of switches and connectors that stick through a front panel, etc.
