I use the Netclass based insulation and routing in V7, works but is very hard to use.
Besides the rules that makes the routing slower (that probably can be optimize using a compiler that remove conditions overlapping) the schematic turns ugly when using the netclass symbols to the traces.
I have an idea that simplifies the netclass assignation:
What if you have a menu list with the defined classes and each member had a color; when selected, on the schematic the nets inside that class will be highlighted. To select/ remove a net form selected class you need just to click with the mouse on the wished wire (when the class is selected in the list).
A remove net will go to Default class. For a differential pair both traces are in the same netclass (if one is selected will automatically select it’s pair).
Now, I’m wondering if such behavior will be available in KiCAD 8 or can be implemented as plugin?
