Wishes for future versions

I just made some changes to my board. Two things.

  1. I had to choose a larger connector, from 8 pins to 10 pins. All routes of that connector were reset. They are rats nests now. Is it possible to only modify part, that is, leave old coppers in place. My board is crowded and it is past midnight and routing all these 10 pins is not fun.

2.This is more about schematic. When I place a new wire, shortcut W, I wish the right mouse button would show net labels too. Now I have to Finish wire and select it and get Place Net label L

By the way.
Router made some funny loops on the board, luckily it was easy to clean them up.

Add the 10pin symbol to the Schematic leaving the 8 pin one in place . . . wire in the 10 pin also.

Update the PCB from the schematic and place the new component and rout tracks to it as much as you can, room allowing . . . THEN remove the 8pin device from the PCB, finish routing the 10 pin, then remove the 8 pin symbol from the schematic and tidy the wires.

I’ve not test this approach . . . logically it should work . . .

Thank you. I should have remembered that, but it was very late.
