Why is ERC giving warnings for wires that are obviously connected to nets?

Power and Ground come in on J5 Pins 11 and 9, respectively, so I have PWR_FLAGS attached there to tell the system that these are external power and ground nets.

Questions:

  1. Why does U3-5 show "Warning: Unconnected wire endpoint, when it’s clearly connected to net ZYNQ_3.3?
  2. Why does U3-4 show "Warning: Unconnected wire endpoint when J5-1 does not have that warning?
  3. Bonus question: I want to shorten the wire on U3-4, but every time I go to drag the right end of the wire underneath the 'N" of the label, the cursor changes to a wiring tool so I can add to the wire instead of drag the end. What am I missing here?

You haven’t really made the connections to the labels because the small squares are showing. They should disappear when the connection is made.
