Where'd the 'line' go?

I want to draw a graphical line. And I cannot find it. I started doubting myself. But my new work PC on which I just installed Kicad really does not have it.

I dug up a screenshot from internet. I recall that I am looking for that polygon thingy.

Where’d go? How do I get it back?

Also. I notice that the image tool is also gone.

Can’t help with the problem but my line and image tool are below the last one you have.
Could this be a screen resolution problem?

Is your screen maximised. If I reduce the size of my window I lose the bottom icons like yours.

Yep, resolution issue allright. The screen was maximized but I have 1 laptop screen and 2 additional displays. When I use one of the monitor my tools come back.

Despite my laptop was fully reset and it is now cursed with the windows 11 dissease, I haven’t had this issue before with the same hardware.

It does is sorta annoying though. I can’t tell if Kicad or Windows causes the problem at hand. I suspect the latter because… well experience…

When I am not in fullscreen mode, I ofcourse see far less tools. But there does not seem to be a scroll bar like system in Kicad.

Kind regards,

Bas

The bottom most tool is for the Interactive Delete Tool

At first I was confused by the screenshot you found on the internet, I guess it’s from some old KiCad version. I also had some scaling issue when comparing my own with that screenshot. Made some mistakes and deleted my earlier post.

In KiCad you can adjust the size of the icons with: … / Preferences / Preferences / Common / User Interface / Toolbar icon Size
Below a new screenshot of the three settings (Small, Normal, Large) together with a screen ruler measuring pixels:

In addition, after all these years still getting used to this forum software. It does all sorts of scaling with images, you have click the “Original Image” text to see an image in 1:1 size without scaling.

I added a second screenshot, which compares my “Large” size with your first posted screenshot. Your icons are still a smidge bigger. I guess your OS also does scaling. If so, you should see this in other programs too.

Thnx, small icons seem to be just fine for me

A small bump because I updated my previous post while you posted a response. The important thing is:
