I’ve just started using Kicad, group moving parts does not automatically update the ratsnest, leaving it all disconnected. I’ve read there is a ‘rebuild ratsnest’ button, but even though I’ve looked for it for a long time, I can’t find it anywhere. Has this function been removed?

I have live updates during movement of a footprint in KiCad V5.1.10.

Framerate is a bit low on my 10 year old PC with both KiCad and a screen recorder running.
if I move a group of components using exact coords (ctrl + M) my ratsnest does not update

I do not know if it may be a bug in V5.1.9, or if there is some setting for this in Preferences / Preferences.
What do you mean with:
Do you not see a ratsnest at all, or do you see the ratsnest, but the lines go to the wrong locations?
There is a button in the toolbar on the left side of the screen to toggle view of the ratsnest on and off:
