Where do I find 3D models for FPC?

Hello!

I’m looking for FPC 10 pin, 0.5mm pitch from Hirose. Does anybody know where this can be found?
I checked github with Kicad files, but there was no Hirose in it.

Thanks

Hello!

Thanks for your reply. I checked the link, but couldn’t find 3D (STEP file or similar)
of the connectors. My message was a bit ambiguous, but I am looking for 3D model
of these connectors, not the connectors themselves. 3D models that can be read by
Kicad.

Thanks,

I think @RaptorUK meant that you can find the 3D models on the manufacturer’s website (which in case of Hirose is definitely true).

@roboya - which exactly Hirose series are you looking for? I’ve done a few Merge Requests to KiCAD library a while ago (not approved yet) - it was for Hirose FH12 and FH26 series (both 0.5mm pitch). If this is something you are looking for - I can send you the 3D files (my own, not from Hirose website, a bit simplified, but still good) or even a parametric FreeCAD file.
Let me know.

Hello Greg!

Thanks for your reply.
In FH12, I guess 12 is the number of pins, right?
In this case, I’m probably looking for FH10. But I can modify the FH12 by removing
1 pins and shift the side pads and a few other lines like courtyard, etc… by 1mm.
And by the way I can publish the result here.

Thanks!

FH10 seems discontinued This product is discontinued.
you need to post the all manufacturer part number, then we can reply correctly to you

@hirose you can find manufacturer’s 3D STEP model

I looked on Mouser but it gave a link to the Hirose website. You could also try RS Components but you will need to create a login to download the 3D if they have it.

No, This number is not the number of the pins. FH10 and FH12 are the series’ names. Both coming in different variations of the pins.

For examples in FH12 the part numbering looks like this: FH12-40S-0.5SH, where FH12 is the series name, “-40” is the amount of pins and “-0.5” is the pitch.

Let us know exactly what 3D model you are looking for. At the moment we only know that is Hirose FFC connector with 10 pins and 0.5mm pitch.

A quick search in Mouser tells me that so far (base on the info above - brand, pins, pitch only) matching series are:
FH12, FH19, FH28, FH33, FH34, FH40, FH52, FH63, FH65, FH67 and TF31
so you have to be more specific
