Sometimes I see these pink letters next to power symbols, sometimes I don’t.

How do I get rid of 'em?

These are hidden pins. You can turn that on/off in the preferences

It is the pin name and pin number.

Open up the item in the symbol editor to confirm. You will find the pin type is also shown in the editor
