What 3d models are available to have my 3d rendering more accurate in kicad so far I see one component on my board.
I use a lot of 402 smt footprints and HDMI mini and HDMI
Some chips and connectors have models what format do I look for I have freecad.

If you want them in freecad you need step.

Have a look at kicad stepup extension for freecad.

the resistors should come with a model. please check your footprints in the layout.
select a footprint and hit E.
Then select the 3D settings tab.

As this did not end well in in that other similar thread…
The footprint in the library needs to have this 3D association. Then all the footprints on the board need to be updated.
