Warning: No net found for symbol

Hello,
I did my custom symbol for a transformer. The physical transformer has 20 pins, but only pins 1, 4, 6, 9, 12, 14, 17, 19 are connected inside the transformer, the rest of the pins are not connected.
(I would show you how the symbol and footprint look like but this forum does not allow me to attach more than 1 picture)
In the PCB editor when I do “Update PCB from Schematic”, it gives me warnings about the pins that are not used, such as this:

Is a proper way to design my footprint or symbol to make the warnings go away?
Thanks in advance.

Have you put ‘no connection’ crosses on the un-used pins on the schematic?

EDIT:
Actually I have just found the same issue on a board I am working on. I have a 4 way connector with mounting lugs, on the schematic I only have it as a 4 way connector and so have no connection for the lugs. To solve the schematic symbol needs changing to include these extra footprint pins and set them to no connection.

Thanks for your post. Normally I put the “No connection” flag on unused pin in schematic, but this symbol does not have the pins, as you found out as well

I thought that maybe there is a property of the unused pads that I could set in the footprint but couldn’t find it so asked here
I don’t want the unused pins to clutter my schematic

Have you tried not listing the missing pins in the symbol? That is, don’t enter 2, 3, etc in the pin table at all.

They are not in the symbol, but are in the footprint. This is the pin table from symbol editor.

Don’t assign them pin numbers in the footprint either then.

They are not in the symbol, but are in the footprint. This is the pin table from symbol editor.

The warning is normal behaviour if a footprint contains more pads (which are then unused) as the symbol.

A-ha! That did the trick, thank you
