I had some issue when I tried to access the site from my phone (Chrome running on Android 4.2.2). First it wouldn’t resolve when I directly typed in “forum.kicad.info” (went to the main site, not the forums) and then when I typed in the https, it said the SSL certificate wasn’t valid.
I had issues trying to sign up via my mobile, I then jumped on the laptop and still had issues trying with google and twitter. In the end to get signed up I just used my email address.
Yep, the SSL sertificate used to encrypt https on this site seems strange. Other people were complaining about that too on yahoo group today (I’ve seen somebody saying his navigator putting the site in “unsafe” cathegory or something similar)
Yes, the first problem with registrations was the link sent to new registrants was using the http. I forced https for everyone now. Still working on the SSL thing, I believe I might not have set up the chain properly.
Looks like the “O” (organisation) field in the certificate is empty. It is well signed by the certificate authority (Comodo SA), but is not considered complete unless the organization is the part of the cert. chain…
