V5 Settings Clearing on crash

I’ve been having this issue with:

Application: kicad

On Debian 9 where i’ll be working and randomly kicad will crash (this time it was kicad[52019]: segfault at 7f7c3e7b2758 ip 00007f79d735d3fb sp 000055b10637cc80 error 4 in _pcbnew.kiface[7f79d6940000+aa6000]) when I was playing with a copper pour.

On crashes it seems to clear all my settings, such as colors of layers, transparency, etc. I’ve saved my .pro file after i’ve set these settings, but it doesn’t seem to help when I load it again. Where are these settings saved and why are they clearing on a crash but not on a normal exit and how can I restore them?

I was more curious of the other questions i had, where are the settings stored, how can I restore them. I understand I can submit a bug, which I will do.

It is interesting that when I send my KiCad files from my Windoze machine that the Ubuntu users I send them to also seem to “get” the settings that I was using.

I do not know for certain, but I would try to recover the .pcb-bak file and see if that restores your settings.
