Hi,
the new selection marking by encircle the symbol makes it very hard for me to read and recognize the selections. For me this is a big drawback. Is there a way to activate the old selection scheme?

I haven’t used v5 so not sure what you mean. Could you post a screenshot?
This is what I see in v5.99:
Note that you can also change the selection highlight colour in Preferences->Schematic Editor->Colors. You can make it dark purple for example and make the opacity 100%:

Changing the colour is way better. ThX for the hint.
But if I could avoid the whole encircle thing and only change the color of the selected parts, it would be my preferred solution.
