[v 7.0.5] Repeated pop up box on startup (share crash data and check for update on opening)

I have v7.0.5 installed on Win 11. I have not removed V6.

EVERY time I start Kicad 7.0.5 I’m asked if I will allow Kicad to share crash info and another box to check for updates on startup. I have both enabled in preferences, yet I’m asked whenever Kicad v7.0.5 starts up. Perhaps the preferences are not being saved??

I had the same experience the first ~10 times i started 7.0.5. Then it went away. Not sure what I did for it to save the setting.

I’m also on Win 11.

I’m also getting this exact problem. New to Kicad too.

The program no longer does this. My guess is some issue saving the popup choices. I’ve done nothing with the configuration to think it might be a change I made.
Others have reported it goes away after a while.
