I could go on . . . but you can also use Google to search . . .
I am typing to design a layout using BGA 324 pin in kicad . when I try to add a via between 2 pads kicad settings highlight as error occurres . can you help me
Thankyou
Two threads consolidated into one . . . if anyone is confused about the OPs posts in this thread.
KiCad default settings are for much simpler PCBs. I have never used BGA.
PCBs with BGA are more precise than standard once and you have to inform KiCad (mainly in Board Setup) that you are using more accurate technology.
How can I inform. by writing any codes are by downloading plugin
By setting parameters.
I’m not using KiCad since half a year. I remember that it is somewhere in Board Setup.
In your (now unlisted) thread you posted:
BGA’s don’t have pins, but they do have pads and balls. (but “pin numbering” is still commonly used).
From what I see, your experience level is not compatible at the moment with bringing such a design to a successful end. I strongly suggest you first do a few simpler designs, learn how to use KiCad and learn what the important parts of a good PCB design are. BGA’s of such complexity don’t just have may connections. They are also high speed and require good PCB design practice. It probably takes at least half a year, but maybe a year before you’re ready to take up a design of such complexity.
Thanks for your compliments iam using kicad since 4 years and I have designed Atmel microcontroller,STM microcontroller now I planned to explore in BGA field to improve my knowledge .
Thankyou
