Update PCB after re-annotation

Hi,

I am working on a PCB and it is mostly laid out but i needed to add some extra circuitry. I use the re-annotate entire schematic function however when i update PCB it adds completely new parts rather than change the designators of the old existing ones.

How can I get this so only reference designators are updated?

I have also tried with the first option ticked however as soon as I annotate i get completely new parts added

I think this should work . . . make sure you have your project backed up just in case.

Ah Thanks, it worked

I wonder what happened. It always (V5…V8) worked after changing designators at schematic.
