KiCad currently has a function to update fields from the library. I usually update everything from the library. The problem is that it doesn’t update subsheets. This makes it difficult to maintain consistency throughout multiple subsheets.
Is there a way to update the fields recursively through all the subsheets?
does the “Edit symbol field” tool perform your needed function
I find this useful to ensure all parts have the correct ordercode IF something snuck through my checks
