Unit independent placement of reference

When I place in a multi unit symbol the reference designator in one unit like this:

it appears on all other units on the same position like this:

“All units interchangeable” is off:

Is there a way to independently place the reference across the units?

Thanks for the answer, even that it means that it can’t be done.
I will not use the workaround, since hopefully the issue will be solved one day and I don’t want to mess up my libs.
