Unable to re-install KiCad 8.0.1 or 8.0.2 on my SSD "E:"

When I launch the installer everything is normal up to the point where I can change the directory where I wish KiCad to be installed.
I cannot change the content of the field, and the button is dimmed (and not operative).
Is there a reason for this installer behaviour ? I feel this nonetheless a bit frustrating.

I guess I will have to un-install my KiCad 8.0.1 residing on my D: HDD first ?
Any workaround available ?

Yes.

The installer won’t allow multiple installs of the same version because it’ll inevitably blow up on file associations and other forms of user confusion.
