Unable to use the Insert function (Fn+Return/Enter keys) on my laptop running Mojave 10.14.6. I’ve tried everything I can think of, and the keyboard monitor (keyboardchecker.com) won’t show the Insert key activating, so I’m not getting repeating incremented Labels on my attempt at making buss connections.
I did try with another Apple USB keyboard, but results were the same - Fn_Return was the same as Return.
Is there any other key combination to reproduce this Insert effect?

I don’t use the fruit brand of PC myself, but if nothing else works you can re-assign the hotkey to some other key combination.
It’s: … / Preferences / Preferences/ Hotkeys and then search for Repeat Last Item
