This is new. Progressing along on my 5th board in V6, and suddenly I cannot select or edit my reference designators. Everything else seems to work; not having any other problems. I went through the list of possible hot keys but found nothing that affects the problem.
Ideas?

Make sure you have “Text” checked in the selection filter at bottom right.
Thank you. Must have hit it accidentally. Never really noticed that selection filter before.
It’s new in v6. I find it extremely useful and well worth the occasional “why can’t I select this item?!” confusion
