Unable to define zones that cuts through another zone [solved]

KiCad is trying to be way too smart for its own good. I am trying to define a keepout zone for a flood fill, the edge of this zone I would like to just go through another zone that are already on the board. It won’t let me, when I click while the line is over the other zone, it just… wouldn’t register my click.

There is no reason why there should be any restraints on where I can place a fill or a keepout zone. The whole point of these zones is that it should automatically change the shape of the fill to meet design rules.

Which BZR are you using?
Which OS?

I’ve just tested to draw a keep out zone overlapping another in BZR6608 on Win7 64bit and it works.
It goes over other keep out zones, pads, copper fill zones…

So, to solve:

  • step by step what you’re doing
  • picture of situtation that doesn’t work
  • ideally upload/link to the pcb layout so we can have a go at it

Windows 8.1, Pcbnew 4.0.2 stable, default renderer

Restarted KiCad, no longer able to reproduce issue, I know that doesn’t help much. Sorry.
