Look at your symbol (not the footprint) . . . how many pins does it have ? 8 or 20 ?

Your library and value still indicate the M suffix, which is QFN-20 not SOIC-8. That’s why you got the errors about missing pins. You should check your schematic symbol.

Yes you’re right, I selected another component and now I have the correct footprint without searching the internet. The video I saw probably goes straight to the point.
