Im trying to include tracks in my footprint. seems to work, but DRC doesnt approve, complains about clearance between nets. When I place footprint on PCB i alter the net of the outlying pads to same as the one for the DIP each pad. However the track is still no net, which I cannot change.
Guess it will connect anyways ? even though PCB ed doesnt really coop; u doesnt find connect between inner and outer pads… (DRC also soldermask complains)
You could replace it with SMD pads in the same shape that have their paste and mask layer cleared. That would be an easy fix
I’m a bit confused though, because it is exactly what we do in our coil generator, we just place these lines on a copper layer and that’s it: kicad-coil-creator/plugins/lib/generator.py at main · DIaLOGIKa-GmbH/kicad-coil-creator · GitHub
