I created a portion shown in KiCAD 7.0 but downloaded to 8.0 and the tracks that I have already laid down has a weird border around the length. It sorts of a something to do with the pour or screen layer. Perhaps it is set in the preferences, but I can’t see. I better someone will jump into an easy solution 
Not sure if the clearance outlines bothers you, but you may try: Preferences–>pcb editor–>Display options–>Clearance outlines–>Tracks: show when routing
