Track snaps to pad shape offset?

Hi, I use the pad shape offset for convenience when drawing a footprint, since the data sheet drawing usually has dimensions relative to the corner of the pads, not the center.

However when routing the board this is annoying since the track snaps to the shape offset, i.e. corner of the pad.
Any solutions for this out there?

Pull out the calculator when you do the footprints and avoid using shape offset?

IMHO, the only thing which would be able to help you would be some script that could incorporate the offsets into the position values and setting the offset to zero for all footprints in your .pretty folder…
