Traces added to bottom of board w/ground plane are forced to change net (nightly)

I have a simple board, I had added a bottom ground plane. The bottom component pads properly “part the green sea”. However when I add a trace, that trace changed from the component pad netclass (in this case 3.3) to Gnd.
I can’t imagine a setting that would do this but don’t know.

And if I try to edit the properties of the trace in question (back to 3.3) it won’t change.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
John
