To avoid *.kicad_sym *.bak files

Whenever I edit symbol the old *.kicad_sym file is saved as *.bak.
I don’t see in Preferences (KiCad 7.0.9) a setting to switch it off.

Starting to learn Simulation I wanted to copy Simultion KiCad library and noticed that the contents of my SchLib folder is too long to fit on the screen why I don’t have so many libraries.
