What are your favorite tricks and tips for crafting schematic symbols faster?
There are scripts for making some of the parts with lots of pins but other than that I’m not sure what you mean. Too many variables here.

It’s meant to be a wide open question. I find myself making a lot of symbols. I’m at the just-past-newbie stage of using kicad, I’m ready to start learning better ways of using it. I’m excited to learn how the veterans of kicad use the tool.
