I just wanted to say thanks to everyone in this forum who has helped me learn KiCAD; the project I’ve been working on is really simple, and I’ll get it posted fairly soon, but it’s given me the opportunity to explore lots of features in the KiCAD suite.
With all the resources here I’ve learned how to setup a local footprint library and modify stock footprints to make them easier to hand-solder, how to add STEP models to get the 3-D viewer to display a fully-populated board, and much more. The resulting design looks as a professional as any board I’ve seen and my friends will be impressed
