Text-entry boxes -- clipped height

I see an oddity when I edit the Value Field of a part in a schematic, where the entry box height is clipped:

The height is a bit less-clipped when I edit the Reference Field:

Though no text entry clipping if I just edit the full Symbol Properties:

This is on ubuntu-based pop-os 22.04 lts:

It is usable with the clipped text boxes, but I am wondering whether there is something I can tweak – anyone else see this?

I get it too (Ubuntu Mate 22.10), i think is related to the β€˜theme’ of the window manager, in particular related to the chosen characters; playing around i have found a combination of window decorations/character that minimize this behavior.

@teletypeguy Note, in Symbol Properties your Ref. name and value U4 have been slightly raised in their boxes. My OS shows the same result.

A different oddity!

But Edit Ref. Field is perfect. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Yes , this is related to your windows manager themes. Could be also due to a custom dpi settings or font scaling.
I use XFCE and used to have similar issues on random software before until I started to use more standard font settings.
