I hereby certify that I am not simply asking someone else to design a footprint for me.
This is an auto-generated message that is in place on the “footprints” section of the KiCad.info forum. If I remove it and ask for a footprint to be designed anyway, I understand that I will be subject to forum members telling me to go design my own footprint or referring me to a 3rd party footprint site.
Hi, can anyone provide footprints and symbols for RV7L020GNTCR1 (RoHM semiconductor) Diode
According to the datasheet this kind of symbol can be used:
If that’s not in the standard libraries (“Device”) already, create your own. The package dimensions are also given in the datasheet. That’s more complicated, though, because it doesn’t give a “suggested footprint” “land pattern”. I would just use the pad dimensions. Then there are still two details: the small “2b” pad which is said to be “not used for mounting” – I don’t know what that means – and the larger pad which isn’t plain rectangle.
In the end this is what you need to learn to do by yourself anyway, reading and interpreting datasheets and using the KiCad library editors to create symbols and footprints. If you have any specific question regarding those editors, you can ask. Otherwise, unless someone here happens to have better information, you should ask about datasheets and specific parts somewhere else. Only rarely you can find a ready made library item from this forum.
