Hi, While editing a schematic symbol in a library.
Each time I change the symbol name, also the property “value” is changes to this symbol name.
How can I turn off this unwanted behavior?

Without knowledge about the used kicad version you can’t get a n answer (this particular part of kicad has changed between versions).
Im using version 7.0.
In 7.0 you can change the name and then change the Value. Is this a problem? Do you really rename symbols so often? Can you tell more about your workflow?
If you rename a symbol using the right click → rename command, the value will change as well. If you rename the symbol in symbol properties (‘E’ hotkey) it will only change the name and leave the value alone.
