I’m guessing that there must be some disconnect between the tutorials that I can find and the workings of version 5.0.1 of KiCad.

My issue is that when I open the editor it always says “no library selected” on the top of the window. And I’m not able to select the library I want to work with. If I remember correctly the tutorial that deals with libraries says to “select library” but I can’t seem to “select” a library at all in the 5.0.1 version I’m using.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

When you double click on a part in the list, the library location of the part will be loaded into the information section at the top of the window.
