Symbol autoplace not working on repeat place?

With the Preferences > Schematic Editor > Editing Options > Symbol Field Automatic Placement options enabled, when you place components the editor rearranges the fields according to some algorithm.

However, if you repeat the command (Ins key), it seems that the automatic placement does not occur.

Is this intended behavior, or a bug?
