Standalone Tracing, Formats and Where are the Traces Stored

I made a circuit layout of couple years ago and just recently got around to having some boards made. The Gerber files I had previously created had problems. There were some stray drill holes outside the board area, no perimeter layer.

I went back to fix things up and make some new Gerber files. However, the online tracer no longer functions. I did find instructions on how to install it locally. I ran it and created a trace, but, I don’t know where the trace wound up.

I finally gave up and just used the old trace as the layout of the board did not change. If I open all the layers with gerbview they all show up, but, when I sent the layers to OSH Lake, there was a problem with the trace file.

Just to complicate things a little more, since that time I had a system problem and had to re-install my OS (linux mint 17.2) and I haven’t reinstalled the tracing application. I do have a backup of my files.

Anyone know where the tracing tool standalone would have stored the trace and what format it might be so I can search?

Other ideas?

I may have used the wrong terrm. I meant the autorouter.

The autorouter results are in a Specctra session file (*.ses).

I can find an .ses file that is about the right date. I see that the old routing file I used was a text file.

I can view the old route file with gerbview, but, the PCP vendor can’t use this.

I cannot open the ses file as a layer in gerbview.

Does something have to be converted or something?

Below is a part of the ses file followed by the txt file:

It looks like you can only open netlist (.net) files in pcbnew. I don’t see any sort of import feature.
